Added layer of security

Also, I think from now on I will try to use my credit card instead of my debit card. I think credit cards have better arbitration than debit cards, plus they aren’t linked to my bank account.

I’ll just put everything on my credit cards and pay it off at the end of each month. Which is pretty much what I’ve been doing, but had been using my debit card as well.

Plus since I pay off my cards, I don’t pay interest, and get a couple percent back as rewards, so I think it actually works out slightly cheaper than cash.

Credit cards only from now on.

  1. wow…

Strange that you mention this… I just realized, i think it’s been months since I’ve used my debit card. I drifted over to my credit card a few months ago, when I started hearing that BoA started to shift the fees back to the debit cards and off the credit cards. I heard it a few times, switched in those instances to my credit card instead of debit, and sort of habitually drifted. My bank accounts have gone up since. I don’t hit the atm for cash much, and without debit, don’t do ‘cashback’, and think more carefully about my credit charges (I always have ,but somehow the ‘debit card is just like money’ thing suckered me).

reading your post, I think it’s been four or five months of fairly steady credit without debit. Odd. and suck-o on the theft. What did the cc company say?
