Whoa! Didja get to work on time?
No, it was too apocalyptic out. A state of emergency was declared, so I called my manager to let her know I wasn’t coming in – turns out she stayed home too.
Also, there are so many power lines down, it’s pretty certain we won’t get power back today – maybe not tomorrow either. If it goes that long I may have to put my frozen food in a cooler out on the porch…
Good thing I have my iPhone or I’d be without Internet. =)
We were sans power here for … 9 hours or so, then we got a canadian line crew. Their trucks are pretty awesome, halogen flashers all around, and gigantic.
