also, good jab on Bush:

“On this day, we come to proclaim an end to the petty grievances and false promises, the recriminations and worn out dogmas, that for far too long have strangled our politics.”

    1. Yeah, the cafeteria was packed with people watching the TVs – the most people I’ve seen gathered around like that since Sept.11.

      Only this time everyone was happy. =)

  1. I like that he included other religions and also…glory be!…nonbelievers in his speech. Also, liked the fact that he said it was going to take a long time to turn things around. I have to admit being near tears when he first came out. Having lived through the civil rights era, it’s an amazing and gratifying thing to see.
