Sometimes in the afternoon I take a coffee break with my friends, which usually lasts 15-20 minutes. I haven’t gone in a while because I’ve been in so many meetings, so I was glad for the break today. We got talking, though, and were in the caf for 40 minutes.
When I got up to leave, I realized my manager was sitting at nearby table having a meeting, probably watching me slacking off the whole time.
D’oh!
That reminds me of a day at my previous job when my boss came up behind me and caught me emailing my bf back and forth conversation-style and writing an lj post all the while looking at flickr pics. oops. that’s not exactly creating doctors’ schedules is it?
That’s why I do my occasional blog updates at work via command-line Lynx interface. More… subtle.
hehee. i have no time to do that at my current job. although i *did* check my email one day when it was slow. that’s how it starts!!
